Walking for Charity

Senior and Prep School have joined together for our first charity event of the year!

The big sponsored walk!

Supporting our chosen charities for this academic year, Charlotte’s Bag, CAFOD and Sacred Heart School Building Project got off to a flying start last week with the ‘Beechwood Annual Sponsored Walk’. All students and staff, parents and dogs are invited to join in the walk around Dunorlan Park. Nursery managed a whole lap around the lake before returning for a well earned lunch! leaving the rest of Prep to continue on for as many laps as they could manage, some running, some walking and a few a mixture of the two and even the sun popped out for a while! Year 6 managed a very decent 5 laps before they needed to get back and set up for their cake and biscuit sale with the remaining stock from a lovely coffee morning in aid of Macmillan.

The Senior School set off in groups after fuelling themselves with Friday’s famous Fish’n’Chips! All the staff were walking alongside the students and a few dogs came along for some ‘walkies’. It was a great afternoon as always and the rain held off …JUST! The students returned for a well deserved piece of cake and the monies will start coming in next week.
