Dracula

26 July 2016

The story of Count Dracula, the chilling character surrounded by folklore, was compellingly portrayed by Beechwood Drama department.

The audience’s nerve was tested from the opening by the disturbing presence of the crazy Renfield, who moved menacingly between the aisle and the stage, terrifying us with his nightmarish makeup and mad mutterings. Manifesting themselves spookily in many of the scenes, the ensemble set a dark tone, having been skilfully choreographed to show the power of Dracula, as he orchestrated their every move. Special mention has to go to the set designers, who created a spellbinding set.
