Musical Performances
Harvest Service & Lunchtime Recital
Thursday 19 October
Halliwell Nursing Home invited the Prep School Choir to perform during their Harvest Service again this year and it is an event that the children really enjoy being part of. The Mayor of Tunbridge Wells was attending and the children were beautifully behaved and sung such a wonderful version of ‘All things bright and beautiful’.
Diana played ‘What child is this’ more commonly known as ‘Greensleeves’ on her harp, which was a warming and relaxing addition to the service, enjoyed by both the residents and staff.
The Mayor tweeted ‘A v enjoyable visit to Halliwell Care Home #harvestfestival meeting residents, staff & children @SchoolBsh who sang & performed beautifully’
Thank you to Halliwell for the children’s hedgehogs which have mostly been popped into pockets of blazers! The children were also presented with a ‘bear’ pin badge from the Mayor which again has been pinned through their blazer lapels!
In Senior School the first of the ‘Lunchtime Rectial Series’ took place in the Chapel. Staff and students were invited to come along and listen to some of our most talented musicians play and listen to beautiful singing. Miss Molloy has introduced the concept for a time to enjoy the talents of our students in a calming environment and it truly was wonderful. Taking a moment out of our busy day to appreciate how very lucky we are.
Well done to all of those involved and look forward to the next Lunchtime Recital on Thursday 6 December.
